Our Story
It Started With One Truck and a Chainsaw
In January 2019, Dylan and Taylor Lindsey loaded up one truck, sharpened a chainsaw, and started taking down trees across Whatcom County. They were brothers working for neighbors, doing honest work for fair prices.
It did not take long to see the same problem on every job. A tree would come down. Then the homeowner needed the stump ground. Then they wanted the lot cleared. Then they realized they could finally build that shop, or fix the fence, or repair the roof the tree had cracked on the way down. And every step meant a new contractor, a new quote, a new schedule, and a new chance for the job to fall apart.
Dylan and Taylor decided to fix it. They earned their general contractor license in Washington State and built Timber into the company they wished homeowners could call. One crew on the property. One quote in writing. One company standing behind the whole job.
Seven years later, Timber serves Whatcom and Skagit County with a full tree service crew and a licensed construction team working out of one shop, on one schedule, answering one phone: (360) 441-5033.
What Makes Timber Different

Most local companies pick a lane. Timber runs both.
Drive around Whatcom County and you will see plenty of tree service trucks and plenty of construction trailers. You will not see another company that does both. That is not an accident. Tree work and general contracting use different licenses, different insurance, different equipment, and different training. Most owners decide it is too much to do both well.
Dylan and Taylor decided the homeowner needs both, so the company has to figure it out. So they did. Timber holds an active general contractor license in Washington State and carries full insurance for tree work and construction. The crew works on a tree job in the morning and a remodel in the afternoon. The trucks are sitting in the same yard. The phone goes to the same office.
When a storm drops a fir through your roof, you get one call to make. Tree removal, tarp the opening, document the damage for your insurance, and rebuild what the storm took. One crew handles all of it. That is the entire reason Timber exists.
The Tree Side
Removal, trimming, stump grinding, lot clearing, view enhancement, hazardous tree assessments, and 24-hour emergency response. The crew is trained and equipped for any tree on any property in Whatcom or Skagit County.
The Construction Side
Licensed general contractor in Washington State. New construction, full remodels, additions, ADUs, shops, garages, decks, demolition, site prep, and storm damage repair. Same crew. Same standard.

Every Timber crew member learns tree work and construction. That cross-training is what makes the one-call promise actually work.
Walk onto a Timber job site and you will not see a "tree crew" handing off to a "construction crew." You will see the same guys in the same Timber shirts, doing whatever the job needs.
